For more than 125 years, the Cercle Royal d’Escrime de Bruxelles has been part of the rich fencing tradition of Brussels and Belgium. Through generations, our club has welcomed fencers of all levels and carried forward a passion for the sport, its traditions and its unique spirit. Our history is also connected to remarkable Belgian fencers, including Olympians and national champions who have helped shape the sport.
Today, we continue that tradition by welcoming children and adults, from complete beginners to experienced fencers. We teach both épée and fleuret, offering a friendly and structured environment where everyone can learn, improve and enjoy the sport. Whether your goal is simply to discover something new, stay active, or step onto the competition piste, there is always a place for you at CREB.
Fencing challenges both body and mind. It develops coordination, agility, concentration, discipline and strategic thinking, while teaching valuable lessons in respect, perseverance and confidence. Above all, CREB is a community where generations of fencers meet, train and share their passion — keeping the spirit of fencing alive, one bout at a time. More than 125 years of tradition, with many more to come.
At CREB, our team is more than just a group of coaches and volunteers — we’re a family. With several generations connected to the club, our passion for fencing has been passed down from one generation to the next, creating a strong sense of tradition, trust and camaraderie.
